EN 15714-3 Industrial Valves - Test for Pneumatic Part-Turn Actuators

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN 15714-3 testing. This standard specifies the basic requirements for pneumatic part-turn valve actuators, both double-acting and single-acting, used for on-off and modulating control tasks.

EN 15714-3 Industrial Valves - Test for Pneumatic Part-Turn Actuators

Contains guidelines, recommendations and methods for containment and corrosion protection, inspection and testing. It does not apply to pneumatic actuators that are integral parts of control valves and pneumatic actuators designed for permanent immersion in fresh or sea water.

Other requirements or conditions of use other than those specified in this standard are expected to be subject to negotiations between the buyer and the manufacturer/supplier prior to ordering.

The minimum output torque capacity of the actuator at specified supply pressures in both directions must be provided by the manufacturer/supplier. Where output torque varies with stroke, in a non-linear relationship, tabular data or torque/stroke curves should be provided.

For double acting actuators, the minimum operating pressure of the actuator at ambient temperature must be provided by the manufacturer/supplier on request.

The manufacturer/supplier of the actuator must specify the minimum operating time in both directions without external load, at rated pressure, and without any significant external restrictions on supply flow rate and exhaust.

Actuators will be designed taking into account technical principles and features for safety. The design of spring return actuators should allow for safe assembly/disassembly if the manufacturer's/supplier's instructions are followed.

The actuator shall be equipped with an indicator arrangement or device to clearly indicate the position of the valve obturator which must be in conjunction with the valve obturator during power or manual operation. If necessary, it will be possible to adjust the indicator.
