EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 14749 standard. This European standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for all types of kitchen and bathroom storage units and household storage furniture and their components.
Not applicable for out-of-home storage, office storage, industrial storage, catering equipment, retail storage and industrial storage cabinets.
It does not apply to units covered by EN 71 1, safety of toys part 1, mechanical and physical properties and EN 60065, audio, video and similar electronic devices, safety requirements (IEC 60065).
It does not include requirements for resistance to aging, deterioration, flammability, and electrical safety. The security that depends on the structure of the building is not included, for example the robustness of the wall hanging units only includes the cabinet and its components including the wall fixing devices. Wall and wall attachments are not included.
