This International standard does not apply to general purpose single-headed tungsten halogen lamps within EN 60432-2, used as a replacement for conventional tungsten filament lamps.
Tungsten halogen lamps shall be designed and constructed in such a way that, in normal use, they present no hazard to the user or the environment. In general, compliance is checked by performing all relevant tests specified in this standard. For the purposes of this standard, the voltage definitions shown in EN 60357 apply.
