Mobile containers with a unit capacity greater than 0,25 cubic meters (250 litres) shall have emergency ventilation of not less than the designated capacity for fixed containers. The use of fusible plugs will be mandatory in cases where stored products (socative oils, paints, etc.) may block other ventilation routes. The melting temperature of these fuses will not exceed 150ºC.
Storage facilities inside buildings must have at least two independent signposted entrances. The actual maximum route outward or to a safe evacuation route (avoiding stakes or other obstructions) shall not exceed 25 metres.
Under no circumstances shall the layout of the containers impede normal or emergency exits and impede access to safety equipment or areas. This is the exception when the surface to be stored is 25 m2 or the distance to reach the exit is less than 6 m.
The electrical installation will be made in accordance with the low voltage electrotechnical regulation and especially the MIBT 026 "Special instructions for installations at risk of fire or explosion". The mechanical elements for the movement of the containers shall be adapted to the requirements derived from the flammability properties of the stored liquids.
