EN 1365-2 Fire Resistance Tests for Load Bearing Elements, Part 2: Standard Test for Floors and Roofs

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 1365-2 standard. This European standard specifies a method for determining the fire resistance of:

EN 1365-2 Fire Resistance Tests for Load Bearing Elements, Part 2: Standard Test for Floors and Roofs

  • Floor constructions with voids or non-ventilated voids;
  • Roof constructions with or without gaps (ventilated or non-vented);
  • Floor and roof constructions containing glass.

A sample of each connection or type of connection contained within the element for assembly, construction or expansion purposes should be included in the test structure, even if such connections occur at centers larger than the relevant dimension of the test specimen.

As the assessment of the spread of fire through voids or combustible parts in the structure is not part of the scope of this standard, all edges of the test specimen may be protected from the spread of fire by means suitable for the purpose of the test. The means of protection should not contribute to the load-bearing capacity of the structure and its size should be kept to a minimum to prevent shrinking of the fraction of the actual structure represented by the test specimen.
