Manufacturers often offer single seating units as well as multiple seating units within a chair family. Not all dimensions need to be tested for all tests. Typically some of the tests are done on a single seating unit. For example, stability testing and other tests are performed on the unit with multiple seating positions, which is considered a structural worst-case scenario. The product's worst-case scenario is created by considering the structure, longest unsupported span, and similar factors.
