EN 13319 Diving Accessories - Test Methods for Depth Gauges and Combined Depth and Time Measuring Instruments

This standard does not apply to any information displayed to the user other than depth and time. Any information on decompression obligations demonstrated by equipment covered by this standard is clearly beyond the scope of this standard. This standard is applicable to instruments used by divers to measure ambient pressure and water depth. Timekeeping requirements apply only if instruments automatically count dive time.

If the test specimen is specified by the manufacturer for use at water temperatures lower than 10°C, test the specimen at a water temperature of (2±2)°C for accuracy. Pressure build-up should not start within 10 minutes after the instrument has been immersed in water.

The impact surface of the test hammer must be adapted to have at least the same dimensions as the impact surface of the test specimen.
