EN 13758-2 Solar UV Protection Properties of Textiles Part 2: Standard Test for Classification and Marking of Garments

Clothing designed to protect the upper body should cover at least the upper part of the body completely. Clothing designed to protect the lower body should at least completely cover the lower body. Clothing designed to protect both the upper and lower body should at least fully cover the upper and lower body.

The UPF of all materials used for clothing assembly must be measured in accordance with EN 13758-1. The lowest UPF value will be greater than 40. Specimen UVA transmission in non-uniform samples determined according to EN 13758-1 or mean UVA transmission in uniform samples should be less than 5%.
