EN 1630 Test Method for Pedestrian Door Sets, Windows, Curtain Walls, Railings and Shutters, Burglary Resistance

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 1630 standard. This standard specifies a test method for determining the resistance to manual burglary attempts to evaluate the burglary resistant properties of pedestrian door sets, windows, curtain walls, railings and shutters.

This standard does not directly cover the resistance of locks and cylinders to attack by collection means. In addition, it does not cover attacks by stealth attack methods of electrical, electronic and electromagnetically controlled theft-resistant building materials that may impair these properties.

It is recognized that the burglar-proof performance of building products has two aspects, their normal resistance to forced operation and their ability to remain stable to the building. This test method does not evaluate the performance of fixing to the building.

The manufacturer's installation instructions will provide guidance on fixing the product. This standard does not apply to walls and roofs as well as gates, gates and barriers intended to be installed in areas accessible to people and whose main use is to provide safe access to goods and vehicles accompanied or driven by passengers.
