EN 326-2 Wood Based Panels - Test for Factory Quality Control

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN 326-2 testing. This European Standard specifies methods for both factory production control and external control of the conformity of the properties of wood-based panels with the relevant EN specifications.

EN 326-2 Wood Based Panels - Test for Factory Quality Control

However, it may also be applied to wood-based panels applied for non-construction purposes, at the manufacturer's discretion. This European Standard does not apply to the assessment of the conformity of the characteristics of the panels contained in the consignments with the standards.

In such cases, EN 326-3 applies. For factory production control, methods are given for assessing the suitability of batches and longer production runs, if necessary. For external control, methods are given, if necessary, for the initial inspection of a factory and the initial type test of a product and the surveillance of factory production control.

Initial type testing should be carried out according to this European Standard according to the initial application of EN 13986, however, where tests were previously carried out according to the provisions of these standards (i.e. same product, same property(s), test method, sampling procedure, system) conformity etc. ) The first type test will be carried out at the start of production of a new product type.

The manufacturer should check the panel specifications required by EN 13986 in each individual production line with reference to other relevant specific product standards. Where the manufacturer chooses to request panel specifications higher than EN 13986 specification levels, with further reference to the relevant specific product standards, factory production control should be performed against the characteristic levels requested.

Samples will be taken from each product type and thickness range. Production can also be subdivided, for example, by thickness. Alternative procedures to the standardized procedure (eg, unconditional or in-line testing) may be used to determine panel properties, provided that a statistically significant relationship can be established between the specified property and the measured property.
