EN 438-7 High Pressure Decorative Laminates (HPL) - Sheets Based on Thermoset Resins - Part 7: Compact Laminate and HPL Composite Panels for Interior and Exterior Wall and Ceiling Cladding

  • Compact laminate panels/exterior cladding for interior wall and ceiling cladding (including suspended ceilings);
  • HPL composite panels/cladding for interior wall and ceiling cladding (including suspended ceilings);
  • Compact laminate panels/coverings for exterior wall and ceiling cladding (including suspended ceilings);
  • HPL composite panels/siding for exterior wall and ceiling cladding (including suspended ceilings).

It also specifies methods for assessing product conformity to requirements and includes requirements for marking. Covers only HPL panels for non-structural applications, not fixing systems. The products are designed for use as wall and ceiling cladding in interior and exterior applications according to the manufacturer's specifications.

The scope of this standard does not cover:

  • Veneered wood-based panels where the coating is not HPL;
  • Wood-based panels with HPL surface intended for use as structural components.

This standard covers only health, safety and energy saving features. All other features are covered in separate European Standards for HPL products.
