EN ISO 10545-8 Ceramic Tiles, Part 8: Standard Test for Determination of Linear Thermal Expansion

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 10545-8 test standard. EN ISO 10545-8 defines a test method for determining the linear thermal expansion coefficient of ceramic tiles.

EN ISO 10545-8 Ceramic Tiles, Part 8: Standard Test for Determination of Linear Thermal Expansion

Allows determination of linear thermal expansion coefficient for the temperature range from ambient temperature to 100°C.

Cut two test specimens at right angles from the center of a tile so that their lengths are suitable for the instrument. The ends of the test specimens must be flat and parallel ground.

If necessary, grind the test specimens so that any edge in the cross-section is less than 6 mm long and has a cross-sectional area greater than 10 mm2. The minimum length of the test specimens should be 25 mm. For glazed tiles, the glaze must not be ground from the test specimens.
