ISO 11277 Soil Quality - Determination of Particle Size Distribution in Mineral Soil Material - Screening and Precipitation Method

It has also been understood from the field investigation that the chemical pretreatment and mechanical treatment steps in this standard can cause fragmentation of poorly cohesive particles that can be considered primary particles, although such primary particles may be better described as aggregates. If such fragmentation is undesirable, this document is not used to determine the particle size distribution of such poorly cohesive materials.
