EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of ISO 7769 testing. ISO 7769 specifies a test method for evaluating the persistence of suppressed wrinkles in fabrics after one or more cleaning cycles. The crease piecing technique is not included as it is controlled by fabric properties.

This method was primarily developed for use in the cleaning process of type B household washing machines defined in ISO 6330. However, it may also be possible to use with type A machines as defined in the same International Standard.

Wrinkled fabric samples are subjected to procedures that simulate cleaning practices. One of the domestic washing and drying procedures specified in ISO 6330 or one of the professional procedures specified in the ISO 3175 series is used, as agreed between the parties involved.

The evaluation is accomplished by supplementing the ceiling lighting arrangement with a suitably placed spotlight to highlight the wrinkled area. Samples are visually compared to plastic-curled replicas under specified illumination.
