EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 54-5 standard. This European standard specifies requirements, test methods and performance criteria for point heat detectors intended for use in fire detection and fire alarm systems installed in and around buildings.
This European standard provides for the evaluation of the conformity (EoC) of point heat detectors to this EN. For other types of heat detectors or for detectors intended for use in other environments, this standard should be used for guidance only.
Heat detectors with special features and developed for certain risks are not within the scope of this standard.
The response temperatures of the point heat detectors tested must be between the minimum and maximum static response temperatures, depending on the category of the point heat detector.
No alarm or fault signal will be given when the temperature rises to the stabilization temperature or during the stabilization period.
