By exposing samples of a textile material to a Xenon arc light source under certain conditions, it is possible to evaluate the color fastness using comparison standards with a known change in light fastness after a given exposure.
Use of these testing options does not imply, expressly or otherwise, an accelerated test for a particular application. The relationship between any light fastness test and actual exposure in use should be determined and agreed upon by the contracting parties.
