This standard covers flow fields for measuring the flow behavior of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids in rotational viscometers, defining specifications for specific measuring geometries. Flow behavior is defined by the shear viscosity, shear viscosity function, viscosity curve or flow curve (graphical representation of the relationship between shear rate and shear stress).
