This part 13138 of EN 2 applies only to class C devices designed to be held in the hands or on the body. Typical devices include kick boards and pull/kick boards.

These devices are used to aid in learning to swim or to assist swimming strokes and to develop certain elements of the stroke that have natural buoyancy or can be inflated.

Not applicable to towing buoys, buoys, life buoys, buoyancy aids, life jackets or water toys.
