To demonstrate satisfactory containment capability, the material or components must have sufficient strength for the anticipated flight and operating loads to allow appropriate fire detection, flight crew recognition and subsequent corrective action under fire conditions. In addition, gas emissions from fire protection materials will be prevented from entering the cabin air conditioning system.
