IEC EN 60475 is applicable to the procedure to be used to isolate liquids in electrical equipment and distribution vessels such as power and indicator transformers, reactors, bushings, oil filled cables, oil filled tank capacitors, switchgear and load taps.
This standard applies to liquids with a viscosity less than 1500 mm2/s (or cSt) at the sampling temperature. Applies to mineral oils and non-mineral oils (such as synthetic esters, natural esters, vegetable oils or silicones).
