EN 12267 Food Processing Machinery - Test for Circular Saw Machines

Machines covered by this European Standard are used for cutting bones and meat.

Circular saw machines within the scope of this European Standard do not include circular saw machines for working wood and similar materials and the requirements of EN 1870-1 do not apply.

Circular saw machines for household use are not covered by this European Standard.

This European Standard applies only to machines manufactured after the publication date of this European Standard.

This European Standard covers the following machine types:

• Circular saw machines with feeding table and fixed product pusher.
• The distance "A" from the floor to the top surface of the feed table is from 800mm to 1050mm. The saw blade diameter is between 350 mm and 400 mm.
• Circular saw machines mounted on a cutting line (e.g. conveyor belt or roller conveyor) have a protective component that can be lifted, for example, on the feed and discharge side. The saw blade diameter is between 350 mm and 400 mm.
