The General Product Safety Directive 2001/95 / EC imposes a general safety requirement for any product launched or likely to be used by consumers. This includes all products that provide service.

The General Product Safety Directive is not required for the CE marking, but requires manufacturers to prove that the product complies with the individual member state laws concerning the product itself or the product itself. This can be demonstrated by testing the product to current EN standards.

Definition of safe product - Products that do not pose a threat in accordance with the nature of their use or that constitute only a reduced threat and are acceptable for the protection of people's health and safety can be classified as reliable products.
