The test sample must be supplied in fully working condition. It shall be suitable for fixing to the perimeter frame according to the manufacturer's published recommendations or standardized instructions.
After disabling any restrictive devices, cycle the test specimen on and off at the maximum extent or 90° (whichever is greater) five times prior to testing. For multi-sash windows, the first test will be on the main sash. When testing multi-function windows such as tilting and rotating ones, each function should be tested individually. The most common usage will be tested first.
