ISO 11124-4 Specifications for Metallic Blasting Abrasives - Low Carbon Cast Steel Shot

Values ​​are specified for hardness, density, defect/structural requirements, and chemical composition.

The requirements set out in this standard only apply to abrasives supplied in "new" condition. They are not applied to abrasives during or after use.

Low carbon cast steel shot abrasives are used in both static and jobsite blasting equipment. They are usually chosen where there is a facility for the recovery and reuse of the abrasive.

Although this standard was developed specifically to meet the requirements for the preparation of steelworks, the specified properties will generally be suitable for use when preparing other material surfaces or components using blast cleaning techniques.
