When tested for purposes other than initial type testing or factory production control, the product specification tests specified in this document must be initiated within 1 month from the date of delivery from the manufacturer.
Thickness and mass per unit area shall be determined in accordance with EN 1849-1. If a product is specified as mass per unit area, no single measurement may fall outside the tolerance declared by the manufacturer's declared value. If a product is specified as thickness, a single measured value cannot fall outside the tolerance declared by the manufacturer's declared value.
Bitumen sheets within the scope of this standard shall not contain asbestos or coal tar components. The manufacturer must disclose the use of any additives or ingredients considered dangerous on the product packaging and health and safety data sheets.
The manufacturer establishes, certifies and maintains an FPC system to ensure that products placed on the market meet specified performance specifications. The FPC system will consist of procedures, regular inspections and tests or evaluations and the use of results to control raw and other incoming materials or components, equipment, manufacturing process and product.
