Applies to polyethylene (PE) as manufactured or non-plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC‑U) pipes and lining system installed with their associated joints.
These System Standards differ from conventionally installed plastic piping systems in that they specify requirements for certain properties in the assembled condition after field processing. This is in addition to specifying the requirements for plastic piping components as manufactured.
The requirements for any family of regeneration techniques are given in part 1, which applies in conjunction with the other relevant part. For example, chapters 1 and 2 specify requirements for cladding with continuous pipes. See EN ISO 11295 for supplementary information. Not all technical families apply to all areas of application, and this is reflected in the part numbers included in each System Standard.
A consistent structure of item titles is adopted for all parts to facilitate direct comparisons between families of renovation techniques.
