The application of this standard is limited to products and applications where the risk of premature damage to a structure or collapse due to strain/time variation of the reinforcement under constant load is very significant.
Because the test is performed over a long period of time and the procedure is complex, it is recommended not to consider the test as a routine quality control test. Test results may not be representative of the performance of products when subjected to earth pressures.
