The DIN 51604-1 standard describes the composition and requirements of FAM test fluids used for polymer materials. This standard was prepared by the requirements for liquid fuels working group in the Mineral Oil and Fuel Standardization Technical Committee (FAM) of the DIN Standards Materials Testing Committee. This standard was subsequently developed by the uniform test procedures group for membrane materials and the coordination group for test methods for the behavior of liquid media towards elastomers.
