Panels used in cold storage applications are included in this European Standard. Panels released as part of a cold storage, building or building envelope kit are covered by ETA-Guide 021 “Cold storage building kits”.
The panel manufacturer must specify the metal grade, thickness, and tolerance system of each face. Thickness tolerances will be according to "special" or "normal" tolerances as specified in the relevant standards. The thickness of the steel cladding sheets will be determined according to EN 10143.
The adhesion between the core and faces of the panel has a fundamental role in the satisfactory performance of the panel. The surface preparation of the coating material will be in accordance with the adhesive or bonding method.
