This European standard specifies a test method for determining the resistance to static loading to evaluate the burglar resistance properties of pedestrian door sets, windows, curtain walls, railings and shutters.
It can be applied to the following opening tools: swivel, tilt, fold, swivel-tilt, top or bottom hanging, slide (horizontal and vertical) and rolling, as well as fixed structures.
This European standard does not apply to gates, gates and barriers intended to be installed in areas accessible to people and whose main use is to provide safe access to goods and vehicles accompanied or used by persons in industrial, commercial or residential areas.
The test rig consists of a rigid steel frame with movable steel supports into which test specimens of various sizes can be mounted. The rigidity of the equipment shall be such that a force of 15 kN applied to any of the defined points perpendicular to the plane of the frame does not cause a deflection of more than 5 mm. Test equipment must not interfere with the execution of the test.
