EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 186-1 test standard. This European standard specifies the dimensions, dimensional tolerances, mechanical, physical and chemical requirements, surface quality requirements and marking of ceramic tiles. It will also refer to the slip resistance of the product.
This standard is divided into two parts. The majority of tile group alla is covered by this part of the standard (part 1). Certain products produced under different names have different values, eg. for tear modulus, scratch hardness and deep abrasion resistance of unglazed tiles. These products are included in part 2 of this standard, where different requirements are specified.
