EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 11623 test standard. EN ISO 11623 specifies periodic inspection and testing requirements and to verify the integrity for further service of hoop-wrapped and fully-wrapped composite portable gas cylinders of aluminum alloy, steel or non-metallic lined or unlined construction.
It was written to deal with the periodic inspection and testing of composite cylinders made to EN ISO 11623, ISO 11119‑1, ISO 11119‑2 and ISO 11119‑3 and is applicable to other composite cylinders designed to comparable standards when permitted by the competent authority.
To the extent applicable, this International standard is also applicable to cylinders with a water capacity of less than 0,5 l. The main purpose of the periodic inspection and test is that the cylinders can be put into service for a while after the test is completed.
It is not possible to specify all aspects for the periodic inspection and testing of composite cylinders in this International standard. In such cases or if there is any doubt, questions about specific cylinders should be directed to the manufacturer or owner.
