This standard is applicable to steel ropes used for prestressed concrete structures made of cold drawn mild round steel wire and notched steel wire (hereinafter referred to as rope).
Two types of yarn, low relaxation and tension relief (normal relaxation), low relaxation yarn should be considered the standard type. Stress relieved (normal relaxation) thread will not be laid unless specially ordered.
