This International standard is based on the European standard EN 322. It repeals and replaces ISO 9425, which was expanded to include provisions for sampling and cutting of test pieces.
The mass loss of each test piece at the time of sampling and its state after drying to constant mass at (103 ± 2)°C is determined by weighing and this mass loss calculated as a percentage is the mass of the test piece after drying.
Sampling and cutting of test pieces will be done in accordance with ISO 16999. The test pieces will cover the entire thickness of the panel.
The minimum mass of the test piece should be 20 g. The shape and size of the test piece is unimportant. Test pieces should be free of loose splinters and sawdust.
