ISO 4548-9 Lubricating Oil Filters for Internal Combustion Engines - Inlet and Outlet Relief Valve Tests

The ISO 4548 series specifies standard test procedures for the measurement and performance of full-flow lubricating oil filters for internal combustion engines. • Valve Opening Pressure Test: This test measures the pressure required to open the anti-relief valve and allow oil to flow through the filter. The valve is exposed to increasing pressure until it opens and the opening pressure is recorded.
• Valve Fitting Leak Test: This test measures the amount of oil leaking from the closed anti-drain valve. The filter is pressurized and the valve is closed, and then the amount of oil leaking from the valve is measured.
