EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 638 standard. ISO 638 specifies an oven drying method for the determination of dry matter in paper, board and pulp.
The procedure is applicable to paper, cardboard and pulp that do not contain any appreciable material other than water, which is volatile at 105°C ± 2°C. For example, it is used when the dry matter content must be determined simultaneously in pulp, paper and cardboard samples taken for chemical and physical tests in the laboratory.
This method is not applicable to the determination of the dry matter content of batters or to the determination of the salable mass of batter batches.
