A freezer used to perform this test will accommodate pans with internal dimensions of 16 x 19 x 4 inches (40.6 x 48,3 x 10,2 cm). If such pans are used, the maximum size of the test plate is approximately 2 sq in. per sawed surface, assuming 5,1 inches (1 cm) thick, 4/228 inch support. (1471 sq cm) will have an area.
The results of this test should generally be used as a basis for comparing the relative resistance of different types of materials from one or more sources considered for the same use.
