It must be placed in the sample holding device. Samples coming out of the holding device during the ball drop test should be clamped into the compression frame. The clamping frame with the sample should be placed freely on the lower frame of the holding device. Specimens shall be placed in the holding device or placed with the outer side corresponding to the setup facing the ball during testing with the 227g ball and facing away from the ball during testing with the 2260g ball.
