Method A based on EN ISO 1421 is the preferred method that should be used for all materials. If method A is not suitable for the material, ie the material does not break, method B based on ISO 37 can be used to determine the tensile properties.
This European standard is designed for the characterization of plastic and rubber sheets manufactured or supplied prior to use. This test method relates only to products or, where appropriate, their components and not to waterproofing membrane systems consisting of such products and installed in workplaces.
This test is intended to be used in conjunction with European Standards for product properties of plastic and rubber sheets for waterproofing.
