EN 1364-1 Fire Resistance Test for Non-Load Bearing Elements

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of EN 1364-1 testing. This standard specifies a method for determining the fire resistance of non-load-bearing walls.

EN 1364-1 Fire Resistance Test for Non-Load Bearing Elements

This European Standard is used in conjunction with EN 1363-1.

It applies to glazed and non-glazed partitions (non-load-bearing walls), non-load-bearing walls consisting almost entirely of glass (non-load-bearing glazed walls) and other non-load-bearing interior and exterior non-load-bearing walls with and without glass.

The fire resistance of external non-load-bearing walls can be determined under conditions of internal or external exposure. In the latter case, the external fire exposure curve given in EN 1363-2 is used.

Does not apply to:

  • Shear walls (non-load-bearing exterior walls suspended in front of the floor slab), unless expressly permitted under EN 1364-3 or EN 1364-4, which will include details of the methodology to be used.
  • Non-load-bearing walls containing door assemblies to be tested in accordance with EN 1634-1.
