EN 1451 Plastic Piping Systems for Soil and Waste Evacuation (Low and High Temperature) Inside the Building Structure - Polypropylene (PP) Test

• Soil and waste disposal applications (low and high temperature) inside buildings (application area code "B");
• Soil and waste discharge applications (low and high temperature) buried in the ground, both indoors and within the building structure (application area code "BD").

This standard also applies to PP pipes and fittings and system for the following purposes:

• Ventilation portion of piping in conjunction with evacuation applications;
• Rainwater pipes inside the building structure.

It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this standard. This standard covers a range of nominal sizes, a series of pipes and fittings, and gives color recommendations. Applies to pipes and fittings marked with "B" intended for use inside buildings and outside of buildings fixed to the wall.

This standard is applicable to the following types of PP pipes and fittings:

• flat tip;
• With integrated elastomeric o-ring socket;
• For butt fusion joints.

Here, the fittings can be produced by injection molding or manufactured from pipes or moulds.
