EN 14617-15 Agglomerated Stone, Test Methods, Part 15: Standard Test for Determination of Compressive Strength

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 14617-15 standard. This standard specifies a method for determining the compressive strength of agglomerated stones.

EN 14617-15 Agglomerated Stone, Test Methods, Part 15: Standard Test for Determination of Compressive Strength

The samples are laid and centered on the plate of a testing machine after mechanical preparation of the surfaces or, if necessary, after capping. A uniformly distributed load is applied and continuously increased until failure occurs.

The surfaces on which the load will be applied should be flat up to 0,1 mm tolerance and should not deviate more than 0,01 radian or 100 mm per 1 mm from the perpendicularity to the sample axis. The edges of the sample should be smooth and free of sudden irregularities and should be flat within 0,3 mm along the entire length of the sample.

To meet the above requirements, samples must be finished on a lathe or surface grinder with final preparation on a lapping machine if necessary.
