EN ISO 6222 Water Quality, Enumeration of Cultivable Microorganisms, Colony Count by Inoculation on Nutrient Agar Culture Media

They can also be used to assess the suitability of a supply for preparing food and drink where the water supply must contain few micro-organisms to prevent contamination of the product with spoilage organisms.
