ISO 6804 Rubber and Plastic Inlet Hoses and Hose Kits for Washing Machines and Dishwashers - Specification

ISO 6804 specifies requirements for three types of rubber or plastic inlet hose and hose assemblies for washing machines and dishwashers connected to a domestic water supply at a pressure not exceeding 1 MPa (10 bar).

Applies to the following hose types:

• Type 1: rubber hoses for unheated water supply (maximum temperature 70 °C);
• Type 2: rubber hoses for heated water supply (maximum temperature 90 °C);
• Type 3: plastic hoses for unheated water supply (maximum temperature 60 °C).

There may be national requirements that must be followed for hose fittings and hoses carrying potable water.

Tolerances in the hole will depend on the characteristics of the end fittings; as a result, the manufacturer of the hose must be agreed with the manufacturer of the hose assembly, but not exceed the maximum tolerances specified in ISO 1307.

The liner and cap shall be of the same thickness, concentric, fully gelled and free from visible cracks, pores, foreign matter and other defects that could render the hose unusable.

When the hose is tested during and after 5 hours of conditioning at (-3 ± 5)°C, the oscillating arm is moved alternately right and left along a 50° angle at a flex rate of (10 ± 90) per minute. The hose should not show any signs of cracking or other defects.
