EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of SATRA TM230 standard. The purpose of this test method is to provide a means of assessing the degree of water resistance of shoes.
This method is applicable to all types of shoes and boots with a heel gap suitable for the test foot form. It is not applied to those that are too hard to flex in normal wear.
The shoe is fixed in a stretching machine with a certain level of water. The shoe is flexed at a constant rate using limited force and is monitored for water ingress, either by checking at intervals or through an automatic water sensing system.
