EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of AATCC 107 standard. This test method is designed to measure the water resistance of dyed, printed or otherwise colored textile yarns and fabrics.
Because the composition of natural (tap) water is variable, distilled or deionized water is used in this test method.
The sample, supported by a multi-fiber test fabric, is immersed in water under specified temperature and time conditions, and then placed between glass or plastic plates under certain pressure, temperature and time conditions. The change in sample color and staining of the attached multifibre test fabric are observed.
