DIN 51354 Test for FZG Gear Lubricants

The test is performed over a period of time, typically 8 hours, and the wear and damage to the gear wheels are evaluated using a variety of methods, including visual inspection and measurement of wear marks. The test evaluates the ability of gear oil to protect against wear, scuffing and pitting under high pressure and high temperature conditions.
