Permissible deviations from this standard are specified in production documents, order documents, etc. If the dimensions are not specified (measurements without tolerances, free tolerances), this standard should be referenced by specifying DIN 7715 and in front of the tolerance class. Only allowable deviations that apply to individual dimensions should be entered for these dimensions, as they are selected from a tolerance class different from the specified class.
It covers high precision hard rubber parts that place higher demands on dimensional accuracy and therefore need to be remachined compared to a conventional commercial part.
An ISO standard draft ISO/DIS 3302 is available for permissible dimensional deviations of rubber parts. The German standard DIN 7715 will be harmonized with these ISO specifications. However, the ISO standard will only deal with soft rubber products and initially excluded hard rubber products that were also planned, as no two product types can be treated equally in terms of achievable accuracy.
