The general technical delivery conditions specified in EN 10021 apply in addition to the features of this European standard, unless otherwise specified in this European standard.
This European standard does not apply to components produced by further processing of the product forms listed above and whose quality characteristics change as a result of such further processing.
For steels conforming to this document, the steelmaking and manufacturing process will be at the discretion of the manufacturer, unless agreed otherwise at the time of inquiry and ordering.
Products shall be free from internal defects that would prevent them from being used for their usual purpose. Ultrasonic testing of parallel flange H-beams and IPE-beams is acceptable according to EN 10306, and ultrasonic testing of steel bars is acceptable according to EN 10308 during inquiry and ordering.
Appropriate process control, inspection and testing will be done to ensure that the product complies with the order requirements.
