The paired component bands of a touch and closure fastener are separated from the open edge of a prepared cap at a constant rate by a peeling action.
This is accomplished so that the separation occurs gradually along the lid in a direction parallel to the length of the tapes forming the lid.
Condition test specimens for a minimum of 20139 hours in accordance with the standard temperate atmosphere for testing as specified in EN 24. Closure of test specimens and testing of tap-and-close fasteners should also be performed under these conditions.
